Service Description

Lotus Pharmacy offers the free NHS Blood Pressure Check Service, helping to identify high blood pressure (hypertension) early and reduce the risk of future health problems. High blood pressure often has no noticeable symptoms, which means you may have it without knowing. If left untreated, it can increase the risk of serious conditions such as heart disease, stroke and kidney problems. Our trained healthcare professionals can: * Check your blood pressure in the pharmacy * Explain and discuss your results with you * Offer 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) where appropriate * Provide advice on the next steps based on your results * Refer you to your GP or other NHS services if further assessment or treatment is required The service is particularly aimed at adults aged 40 years and over who have not previously been diagnosed with high blood pressure, although some younger patients may also be eligible depending on their circumstances. The consultation and any blood pressure monitoring provided as part of the NHS service are completely free of charge. No appointment is necessary – simply visit Lotus Pharmacy and ask for an NHS Blood Pressure Check. Alternatively, you can book an appointment in advance if you would prefer a specific time. All assessments and monitoring are provided in accordance with NHS service eligibility and clinical criteria.
